Bollywood dance company Sirens Dance

The seas have long held a legend of Sirens, the beautiful enchantresses that bewitched passing sailors with their songs. Sydney bollywood dance company, Sirens Dance, embraces this mystique, tantalising audiences with their unique collage of colour, movement and passion.

The company was founded in 2005 by Artistic Director Ramona Lobo, an established choreographer whose vibrant bollywood routines can be seen on the television show So You Think You Can Dance (seasons 2 and 3). Her Sirens’ choreography includes shows for Optus, ING, India Tourism, British Telecom and the Maritime Museum.

Each member of Sirens Dance has extensive industry experience with onscreen performances including cult bollywood movie Aag; TV series SYTYCD, Strictly Dancing and Dance India Dance; award shows MTV, Film Fare (Mumbai) and Zee Cine (Mumbai); along with a range of commercials and music videos. Their collective stage work includes dancer and assistant choreographer for the world tour of the popular show The Merchants of Bollywood. They have also worked with artists such as Aiysha, Duffy and Jessica Mauboy, as well as bollywood icons Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee.

Sirens Dance performs a fusion of classical Indian dance and modern western genres, with elements of Latin and African. The result is a captivating mix of intricate footwork and graceful spins, culminating in provocative, energetic dance. With hip-hop, jazz and contemporary performances also on offer, Sirens Dance can provide the perfect entertainment for any occasion, from television shows, functions and festivals to teaching workshops.
