Ramona Lobo
Ramona, the Sirens founder and choreographer, is one of Sydney's most distinctive dancers. With an eclectic childhood, Ramona, who grew up in several countries, takes naturally to blending styles.
Her dynamic bollywood choreography is created by fusing jazz, contemporary, hip-hop and funk with the classical Indian dance Bharathanatyam, which she studies under Anandavalli at Lingalayam dance academy.
Ramona’s energetic and vibrant approach to bollywood has led her to choreograph for TV series So You Think You Can Dance 2, and The Lord Mayor's Ball 2008 at the Opera House. Her passion for bollywood has also made her a popular teacher at Sydney studio Dance Central. Other performance highlights include placing in the top 50 contestants on So You Think You Can Dance 2; The World Hip Hop Championships in Belgium; and sellout concerts Big Day Out, Livid and Rumba.
She has also performed with contemporary dance company Red Opal, and with champion hip-hop crews Suppology, Resonate and Caramell. Bollywood holds personal significance to Ramona because it encourages expression and unity between people, irrespective of their backgrounds.
Zoe Lester
Zoe’s broad performance experience ranges from presenting and acting, to modelling and dancing – all of which she utilised in her recent tour around Australia with The XXXX Angels. Throughout this contract she performed live on The Footy Show, The State of Origin, The V8 Supercar Series and The XXXX Gold Beach Cricket. She also hosted radio shows, interviewed TV and sports personalities, and featured on a range of associated merchandise. Other commercial credits include XXXX Gold, Club V, a Bonds television commercial, and The MTV Awards. Zoe will also be featured in the upcoming Nikki Webster music clip Devilicious.
Her skills range from hip-hop to bollywood, commercial jazz, tap, and contemporary. She has trained at studios in both NSW and Victoria, and recently traveled to the USA to train at LA’s The Edge and NY’s Broadway Dance Centre. Zoe is a versatile dancer who has taken naturally to bollywood. She loves the enthusisatic, warm response that audiences give Sirens and looks forward to many more performances.
Ali Pritchard
Ali began performing in New Zealand, appearing in musical theatre productions such as A Chorus Line, before touring the world as a dancer for Princess Cruises, USA. Since her move to Australia, Ali has made multiple television appearances, including the role of a resident judge for three series’ of ABC’s Strictly Dancing. In addition, Ali has performed at The MTV Awards and danced in various music clips. She has also featured in television commercials and promotions for Bonds, Channel V, Just Jeans, Adidas and Enough Rope, as well as events such as Livid; Battle of the Year and The World Cup of Motor Racing, dancing for Ricki-Lee.
Ali taught for several years at leading Sydney studios, including Sydney Dance Company and Dance Central, and has performed with a multitude of established artists and dance companies. She brings to Sirens a wealth of dance experience, with extensive training in ballet, jazz, hip-hop and contemporary. She has also studied tap, salsa, ballroom and break. This is Ali’s fourth year with Sirens, enjoying Ramona’s sassy and powerful bollywood routines.
Florette Cohen
Florette is a professional dancer, actor, singer and stilt-walker, who has performed and taught extensively both in Australia and overseas. Her dance training spans various styles including bollywood, hip hop, jazz, funk, latin, contemporary and classical ballet.
Her numerous credits include choreographer and dancer for 'Fat Pizza' (SBS), Purdue Repertory Dance Company (USA), 'The Lion King- Groups and Tours Promotion'(Disney Theatrical Productions), 'Heads UP!' - Auslan (Australian Sign Language) Educational Theatre Tour and the lead in Baz Luhrmann's inaugural production of 'Lights! Camera! Chaos!'
Together with Ramona, Florette has also represented Australia at the World Hip Hop Championships and danced with hip hop crew Resonate.
Rebecca Llewellyn
Rebecca has been dancing professionally for several years in both Australia and the UK. During this time she has enjoyed commercial success in both stage and television in an impressive array of styles, including ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and dancehall.
She began dancing at only three years old, going on to study at the Lewisham Dance College in the UK and various top studios in the U.S. She is now an established performer and choreographer.
Her television appearances include music clips for Guy Sebastian, Roxanne and Deep Sea Arcade; featured dancer on an SBS documentary; Women in the 21st Century; Where It's At TV in the London WestEnd; and back-up dancing for Ricki Lee. She has also featured in campaigns for Bonds, Nikon and Tings bags.
Her natural flare for contemporary has led her to work with a range of prestigious dance companies including the UK's Rambert, Henri Oguike Dance Company, Siobhan Davies Dance Company and Sydney's Chimera Dance Company.
In addition Rebecca works as a pilates, yoga and dance instructor, where her warm personality and strong ability have made her a favourite amongst students of all ages.
Her love for bollywood saw her readily embrace Sirens, and she is now a seasoned member. Her many performances include The Lord Mayor's Ball 2008 for So You Think You Can Dance's Jason Coleman and an Australasian tour for Aiysha.
Ilona Fabiszewski
Ilona is an accomplished performer with training in a wide range of dance forms from top UK, USA and Australian choreographers. With an inspired, passionate and fresh approach to dance, Ilona’s personal style reflects an enigmatic fusion of hip-hop, breaking, popping and locking, plus jazz and tap.
Ilona remains in high demand as a choreographer and dancer – recently choreographing for Grammy Award winner ‘Duffy’ on Channel 7’s Sunday Night Show. She also teaches at reputable schools such as Sydney Dance Company. Her many credits include choreography for Seany B’s Happy Today music clip, and television commercials Bonds Underwear Pattycake, and NSW Deaf Society where she featured as lead dancer. Not to mention Movement Coach for TV show Australia’s Next Top Model, and Top 100 dancer for So You Think You Can Dance 2, The Urban Music Awards, Sleazeball, Luna Park NYE, Battle of The Year; British Airways Party (London) and more. She continues to perform at various clubs and events.
Ilona has a long-standing fascination with the beautiful and joyful world of bollywood, and now thoroughly enjoys the dancing, music and friendships of Sirens.
Rachel Nadanachandran
Rachel has over 20 years of dance training in jazz, hip-hop, tap and contemporary. This includes eight years of study at the Anne MacDonald College of Performing Arts. She also gained considerable bollywood experience after being drawn to the coyness, rhythm and vibrancy of the style 15 years ago. Rachel has since broadened her repertoire even futher by immersing herself in the world’s oldest surviving dance form, Bharathanatyam, under the tutelage of Anandavalli at the Lingalayam Dance Academy.
Her unique style is characterised by her versatility and by a seamless fusion between the many art forms. Rachel has performed extensively on stage, with highlights including the Lingalayam Dance Academy production of The Tempest at the Seymour Centre, and The Lord Mayors Ball NYE 2008 at the Sydney Opera House. She joined the culturally diverse Sirens team in 2007, bringing an energy and playfulness that truly reflects the essence of bollywood.
Sandy Kerr
Sandy comes to Sirens after thrilling audiences on four continents.
Professionally trained at the renowned Claude Watson School for the Arts in Toronto, Canada where she majored in Dance and minored in theatre, she continued her study at York University in the Fine Arts department.
Sandy is a Seasoned performer skilled in acting, singing, all forms of movement and dance. Her prestigious credits include, 42nd Street, A Chorus Line, Cats and most recently Disney's The Lion King where she was also a cast member and resident Choreographer. Her latest film and TV credits include many commercials and most recent Film credit, Ghost Rider starring Nicholas Cage.
Sandy is delighted to continue her love of dance and performing with the funky innovative Sirens.
